Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok

Located adjacent to the old Royal Palace, this temple complex houses the Emerald Buddha. It is made of jade it is quite impressive, but not as impressive as the wat that houses it.

Chinatown, Bangkok

Bangkok was built on top of a Chinese trading settlement. After the Chinese were kicked out, they settled next door and stayed.

Klong Toey, Bangkok

These railroad tracks come out of the port area and transit right through the neighborhood. Engineers usually go slowly because at speed the cars will rock into the shacks.
